The climate crisis has already been solved. We already have the facts and solutions. All we have to do is wake up and change
— Greta Thunberg

As we gear up to host COP26 in November the UK still has a long way to go to address carbon emissions in line with our net zero targets. The clock is ticking and people need to get their head out of the sand and start to take action. The challenge is that people aren’t clear on what action needs to be taken, and we live in an environment which is not just placing obstacles in the way of people taking supportive actions, but is often actively pushing people in the opposite direction.

Our team has been conducting research to help shape public policy in respect of reducing carbon emissions for over 15 years now. Our Managing Partner, Dan Clay, was delighted to be invited to Climate Exp0 to present the findings from a recent public dialogue he led into pathways toward net zero.

Climate Exp0 showcased the latest thinking and most relevant international research in the run-up to COP26 around five key themes. Dan spoke as part of the Green Recovery theme, alongside colleagues from Cambridge Zero, highlighting the key findings from an online public dialogue held in Autumn 2020. It was a fantastic event with speakers from around the world showcasing findings that have the potential to help us not just meet net zero, but truly to build back better.
